The role of the Swimming Pool Equipment & Piping Installer includes equipment installations and piping of pools, whirlpools and various types of waterscapes as well as cross-training in all aspects of construction in the swimming pool industry at Alka Pool’s various project sites within Southwestern BC.  A successful candidate is a person who is; an effective communicator (verbal and written), problem solves, has a strong mechanical sense, enjoys physical work in the outdoors, is experienced in various aspects of construction (commercial and residential) and must have a minimum of 3 years experience directly in the concrete pool industry.

 

Work Environment & What We Offer:

• Position is full-time, year round (+40 hrs / week).
• Work is primarly field-bases on active residential and commercial construction sites, including outdoor and indoor environments.
• Project sites are mainly in the Lower Mainland, but also at various out-of-town project sites throughout BC (predominately Vancouver Island, Squamish-Whistler-Pemberton Corridor and Sushine Coast).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Installing vinyl liner and fiberglass pools
• Reading and executing layout plans
• Assisting with excavation prep and base preparation
• Pool setting (fiberglass) and liner installations
• Plumbing and equipment setup (pads, lines, connections)
• Backfilling, grading, and site finishing
• Working efficiently with crew to meet project timelines

Requirements (Must Have)

• Proven experience in pool installation (vinyl liner and/or fiberglass)
• Strong understanding of pool construction process from start to finish
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
• Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in quality work
• Physically capable of demanding outdoor work
• Valid driver’s license (preferred)

Aquiform is growing its distribution facilities across Canada and is launching a brand-new greenfield facility in Winnipeg to serve Manitoba customers. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced pool and spa professional to help design the layout, hire and build a high performing team, and lead the successful launch and ongoing operations of our Winnipeg branch.

The Branch Manager is responsible for daily branch operations, driving new business development, maintaining strong client relationships, and performing warehouse and purchasing functions. The Branch Manager must ensure the branch meets its performance goals and delivers exceptional customer service. The correct candidate has industry experience, has effectively led teams, and is looking for an exciting challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

Branch Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations and achieve performance targets.
• Act as the point of contact for branch needs and organizational support

Drive New Business Sales

Branch Support and Coordination

Qualifications:

• Pool and Spa Industry experience in the Winnipeg market, building experience is considered an asset
• Proven experience in sales, operations, and team leadership roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Familiarity with inventory systems, purchasing, or warehouse operations is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business software systems
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
