If you already have a benefits plan your employees appreciate, EIO’s experts can prepare a custome quote while investigating potential discounts. Like any PHTCC member, your group will then be added to the association pool to provide rate stability

HOW IT WORKS
- Download a self-guided benefits application to review coverage options and start building your plan.
- Book a discovery call with an EIO Advisor to review plan options and modify your choices if necessary.
At this time, you can also discuss your existing benefits plan to request a custom quote. - Provide EIO’s underwriting team with an employee census to receive a formal benefits proposal
- When ready, your EIO Adivosr will review your proposal with you and discuss next steps for onboarding.
- Connect with EIO’s onboarding team to complete the necessary paperwork, schedule an interactive info-session for employees, and set-up your plan administrator to manage the plan.
- A meeting will be scheduled for a 6 month review of your plan usage and to ensure you have chosen the right coverage for your employees. Plan satisfaction and user experience is key, so modifications to the plan design can be made mid-year. We want your plan to get 5 stars from your employees!

Small increases can be expected, following trends in claims and increasing costs of goods and services, however you will be protected from large increases that would otherwise be tied to high claims from your individual group.
Yes! PHTCC Benefits Plans are available to all members, regardless of the size of their business. Please contact an EIO Advisor to request a benefits application for groups of 1-2 employees as coverage may vary from the standard group plan.
Yes! PHTCC Benefits Plans are available to retirees, however rates may increase due to differences in Travel benefits costs.
Yes! All plan members will be given pay-direct benefits cards for pharmacies and health & dental providers, accepted by most providers nationwide.
Yes! PHTCC Benefits Plans are available to family-owned and -operated businesses.
Yes! You can also create separate classes for part-time and full-time employees.
Yes! But: you must have at least one arms-length (non-related) employee to be eligible. Alternatives are available for self-employed individuals and can be discussed with an EIO Advisor.
Very easy! Members will have access to an online platform—optimized for desktop and mobile devices. They simply need to upload a picture of their receipt, complete a handful of prompts, and submit!
Most claims are reimbursed within two business days.
This plan would become the first payor if you are a dependant on your spouse’s plan. To get the most out of both plans, you can customize your PHTCC Benefits Plan to emphasize coverage of things missing from your spouse’s plan while minimizing overlap.
From the date of signing, it takes approximately thirty business days to onboard a new group.
Yes, you can combine plans by adding the new employees to your existing plan design, separating them by class or billing division if required. An EIO Advisor can work with you to complete this process.
Yes! Foreign workers can receive coverage on your PHTCC Benefits Plan. Plus, if they need temporary provincial health coverage (for hospital visits and other universal healthcare services) we can add a separate insurance product for the months they require.
