Mr. Edward Gibbs, Jr. started working part time for Gib-San Pools Ltd. in 1980 as a student throughout high school and while attending York University in Toronto. He started full time in 1987 in the Service department and became President and Owner in 1994. Mr. Gibbs broadened the company’s market horizon from a Toronto based pool builder to one with expertise in “distant” design, builds and project management – across Canada, the Caribbean and Dubai. Under his leadership Gib-San became the first pool company in the world to be ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certified. Gib-San Pools Ltd. is a multiple winner of national Design and Construction Awards. Mr. Gibbs served as Chairman of the Master Pools Guild, a global network of elite custom pool builders. He also served as President of the Pool & Hot Tub Council of Canada in 2008 and was instrumental in advocacy efforts on behalf of the industry on the issues of water discharge and fencing.
Mr. Gibbs was the 2011 recipient of the Industry Achievement Award.
