LEADERS AND PIONEERS

Over his career in the pool industry, Frank Mahon held a wide variety of positions in retail, distribution, wholesale, and manufacturing.  He started out in the late 1970’s selling, servicing and building pools out of a retail store in Perth, Ontario under the name, “Mahon Swimming Pools & Chemicals”.  Over the years, Mr. Mahon brought his expertise and creativity to a variety of organizations, including B&F Wholesale, Rockcliffe Pool Products, Capital Pools, SCP, Deys Fabricating, LinerWerx, PoolWerx and PartsWerx.  He was an innovator, “MacGyver”, and inventor, having designed and patented the Fehrguard winterizing plug.  He also extruded a variety of copings as a service to dealers.  Mr. Mahon was a mentor for many and active promoter of the association as a member of the Eastern Ontario Chapter Board of Directors.  In recognition of his lifelong contributions to the industry, Mr. Mahon was awarded the Industry Achievement Award posthumously in 2016.
