Mr. Harold Taylor was a pioneer in the industry having introduced vinyl and steel construction of pools to the province of Alberta. He was also instrumental in starting up the Alberta Swimming Pool Association in the 1960’s and served as its first president. Mr. Taylor mentored many of the industry professionals in the region, training pool builders as well as apprentice plumbers and gas fitters. He was a driving force in getting the Association of Canadian Travellers its multipurpose aquatic facility for Alberta’s crippled children at no charge. Mr. Taylor worked for more than forty years in the pool and spa sector.
He was the recipient of the Industry Achievement Award in 2010.
