LEADERS AND PIONEERS

Virgil Joseph Jacuzzi graduated with a degree in engineering then served with the US Navy in the Second World War.  In 1945 he began his career with the family company, Jacuzzi Brothers, Inc.  In 1955 Virgil moved to Toronto with family to create Jacuzzi Canada Ltd.  Over his career he successfully built and branded the company’s products to the point where the name “Jacuzzi” became synonymous for “spas” throughout North America.  He was actively involved in the formation of the Ontario Swimming Pool Association in 1959 and a loyal supporter of its successor national aquatic leisure industry associations.
